New Law Sets Minimum Alcohol Level For Lawn Mowing In Wisconsin

MADISON, WI- In a rare display of bipartisanship, Governor Evers has signed in to law a bill which updates and clarifies a long-standing issue in state law. House Bill 102 has set a minimum blood alcohol content (BAC) level for using a ride-on lawn mower of 0.04. The measure enjoyed broad support among both parties.

In a prepared statement, Governor Evers said in part, “We all know that ride-on mowers should be operated while intoxicated, but until now we have failed to provide guidance of how sober is too sober to mow your lawn in our beautiful state. Wisconsinites can now be safe in the knowledge that they are adequately intoxicated to participate in lawn care.”
