Tom Tiffany Promises Every Wisconsinite $1,000 Kohl’s Cash if Elected Governor

MADISON, WI – Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany unveiled what he called “the most generous economic plan in Wisconsin history”. $1,000 in Kohl’s Cash for every registered voter if he wins in November.

“Folks are hurting,” Tiffany told roughly 30 supporters in a Kohl’s parking lot, standing on a pallet of marked-down air fryers. “They want lower prices. They want 30% off select bath towels.”

When asked whether offering voters money in exchange for their votes might violate election law, Tiffany appeared offended. “A bribe is cash,” he said. “This is Kohl’s Cash. Totally different”.

Tiffany said the program would help Wisconsin families afford essential goods, including cookware, cozy fall sweaters, scented candles, and seasonal throw pillows.

When asked how the state would cover roughly $3.5 billion in department-store credit, campaign spokesperson Kyle Dettmann cited “a combination of fiscal discipline, and the vast untapped wealth of the Kohl’s Rewards program.” He later confirmed the campaign had “not technically spoken to Kohl’s.”

The campaign said the credit would be distributed following the election and could be redeemed at participating locations, subject to the program’s usual restrictions.
