MILWAUKEE – The city famous for its summer festivals is expecting a new arrival on the scene. The Dane Circuit Court’s July ruling on the 1849 abortion law has brought fresh attention to the pro-choice movement. Capitalizing on the momentum, Planned Parenthood announced a partnership with Silk Exotic to present a Pro-Choice summer festival to celebrate all things abortion.
The new festival, aptly named Roe-Chella, will feature abortion-friendly activities such as mechanical bull riding, pogo stick endurance competitions, and MDMA-flavored pacifier pops.
A public art installation will feature historical figures who should have been abortions. MATC will also showcase an advanced simulator allowing visitors to, quite literally, try their hand at a simulated abortion procedure.
Additional details are emerging, but sources informed WNT offices that several sponsors, including Miller Lite and Heartbreakers have already committed. Follow WNT for updates.
