Marijuana Advocates Hold First “Light Up On the Hoan” Rally on 4/20

MILWAUKEE – In celebration of April 20, also known as Stoner’s Christmas, the Highest Holiday, Rosh Hash-anah, “Pass the bong”-over, Halloweed, Rama-dank and Hitler’s Birthday, area marijuana advocates and enthusiasts staged a public “Light Up On The Hoan” demonstration for legalization today atop Milwaukee’s Hoan Bridge.

“It’s just a good time with a bunch of chill family, y’know?” stated one organizer who went by the moniker Faerie Fire, “We got a couple bands, a disc golf course and body painting right over the Jones Island Milorganite plant.” When asked about the likelihood of the event making a substantial difference on the state’s prohibition of the Schedule One Drug, Faerie Fire responded, “Oh, that was today?”

Milwaukee Police observed the demonstration closely, but surprisingly chose not to intervene.

Sergeant Donald McNamara held a press conference after leaving the event. The officer arrived wearing his aviator sunglasses indoors and placed a Slurpee and family-size bag of Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Cheetos on the podium before asking reporters, “Why do they call it ‘downwind’ if it’s going across?”

He then sat on the floor and spent 45 minutes trying to recall the name of “the guy from Hootie and the Blowfish.”

It’s nice to meet you.
