Waukesha Transitions To Milwaukee Water, Promptly Declares Cryptosporidium Outbreak
WAUKESHA: Waukesha County was excited to open up its new water connection to Lake Michigan, relieving thousands of the dreads of well water. Years of labor, planning, and inconvenience to anyone on Oklahoma Avenue, went into what at first seemed almost impossible.
Even against those odds. Waukesha County pulled off the incredible task, and were finally able to open the valves on their brand new system of water lines that ensured a sustainable supply of water for the anticipated exponential growth of the county.
However, soon after the opening, it became apparent that Waukesha was ill-informed of one critical caveat.
Waukesha County has now confirmed 3,678 total cases of Cryptosporidium, and has warned that this number will grow. Officials there say they’re “slightly ticked off” Milwaukee failed to warn them this could happen.
So far, the only comment Milwaukee has made on the matter is a post on the official X account reading, “Oopsie Daisies, lol.”
