Fugitive River Otters Hold Up Green Bay Gas Station

GREEN BAY – The trio of river otters that escaped from the Green Bay Zoo last week has taken their crime spree to the next level, reportedly holding up a gas station late last night. Authorities say the otters made off with a case of light beer, scratch offs, and some expired cans of tuna.

Witnesses describe the scene as ‘terrifying yet adorable,’ as the otters scurried away with their loot. “One of them even paused to tip its little head at me,” said cashier Brenda Holcomb, still shaken. “It was like they knew they were breaking the law but neither of us cared.”

Green Bay Police have issued a statement asking the public to stay vigilant. Police Chief Gary Thompson warned residents not to pick up hitchhikers as “it might just be the otters stacked in a trench coat.”

The otters remain at large.
