MILWAUKEE – Flamingos at the Milwaukee County Zoo have taken a bold one-legged stand, forming a union and leaving zoo management scrambling.
“My boss says flamingos don’t work hard because they just stand there,” said zookeeper Mike Daniels. “But after hearing them squawk about shrimp shortages and sustainable sourcing, I’m starting to think they understand supply chains better than our board of directors.”
Zoo officials tried classic union-busting tactics, like blaring anti-union messages and hiring a pelican to scare them straight, but recent reports tell us the pelican has actually joined the cause.
“If the penguins follow suit, we’re done for,” whispered one administrator. “They already look like little lawyers – they’re ready.”Meanwhile, a flamingo protester summed it up best: “PLUCK OFF, MILWAUKEE ZOO!”
