Tailgaters Confused At American Family Field Covid Testing Site

Saturday, March 13th, 2021

MILWAUKEE,WI- Friday afternoon at American Family Field, there was some confusion when people started to show up to tailgate for Covid-19 testing. “I saw cars lined up at the field so I called up the boys, grabbed some beer, loaded my cornhole gear in the truck, and headed over there.” “I thought maybe they started the season earlier this year” stated confused fan Tyler Anderson. Word spread fast on social media about the tailgating and over 100 people were in the lot drinking, grilling out, and enjoying the 50 degree day in March. “GO BREWERS” yelled Jennifer Pachowski at the cars in line already dreading the nasal swab.

The testing carried on and it only caused a minor distraction for a few minutes. The tailgaters enjoyed an hour of pre spring fun before the authorities showed up and everyone scattered.

The Milwaukee Brewers recently announced that they would allow 25% capacity for their home games this season, but also announced that there would sadly be no tailgating allowed. Apparently that news didn’t reach everyone as well as the fact that opening day isn’t till April 1st this year. Milwaukee police stated that this was an isolated incident and have no plans to step up patrol at AmFam field anytime soon.
